Far North Queensland is green. Almost relentlessly so. There may be the odd flash of red from a Flame Tree, but green is the colour.
Sometimes there is a splash of reds, yellows and oranges from Sulphur Cosmos. A weed I am sure, but sometimes we'll take colour where we can.
This project resulted in a limited edition book exploring the lifecycle of the Sulphur Cosmos flower.
All images were shot on a vintage Hasselblad H3Dii-39 camera using the HC 120mm macro lens with the now unusual rendering of a CCD sensor when the rest of the industry moved to CMOS long ago.
